how heart breaking. poor tim. i read the sequel first- but he's a lot more anguished than the sequel led me to believe. and why kon can't forgive him i can't understand- doesn't kon realize tim was drugged and acting on his basest instincts with his morality removed by the drug...all tim needs to start forgiving himself is kon's forgiveness. kinda makes me mad at kon- at least kon's body heals immediately after exposure to kryptonite is over- tim seems more broken than kon.
regardless- the stories manage to make the reader 'feel' tim's misery...when you can make a reader 'feel'; that's good writing. well done and thanks for sharing.
