imasupermuteantSo my XO made me what is possibly the coolest gift I have ever received as part of my stocking this year. I took pictures a while ago but I only just got around to posting them. Sorry for the not-so-great image quality, I took these pictures with my phone:
In related fan-news, I was going through my notebooks from last semester and found the following doodle:
If you can't read it, the upper left corner has a tiny drawing of Bones saying: "ARGH GRAH! Dammit Jim! ARRAGH! Andorian Shingles! I'M A DOCTOR NOT A MANGO PUDDING!" and the upper right corner has a picture of Kirk saying "Phasers on stun SHOOT TO KILL! Scan the planet AREN'T I PRETTY? PUNCH IT!"
Then there is a (not very accurate) drawing of Booster Gold which informs you that Booster is an agent of capitalism (we were reading Marx again) and an (equally inaccurate) drawing which says that "BLUE BEETLE SAVES THE DAY!"
For those who don't know me personally, I am a senior at a pretty fucking selective college. This is what I do in class. I don't know how to feel about this.
Yeah....
On the fic-related front, I am still writing despite a pretty heavy schedule. I am teaching a course this month on Star Trek which is taking up the majority of my fan-related creative time. But there is still fic coming. Really.
